I love to see how the contestants overcome the challenges and mistakes they make. I have learnt a lot from GBSB.
ReplyDeleteIt was just great to see people who shared my love of sewing on national TV. Made a nice change from the usual programmes. I'd love to see it back again. Meanwhile I'd love to go to the GBSB show and be amazed.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite bit is where they reinvent a garment. Their creativity and quick thinking is amazing! Fingers crossed I win as I'd so love to go.
ReplyDeleteOoo this would be amazing!! I love gbsb because like so many others, it made me actually start sewing!! 3 years ago after watching itbi attended a 'get to know your sewing machine' course. And last year I went to a dress making class. A year and a half later I have so many beautiful hand made items and im now completely addicted!!
ReplyDeleteGetting to go t this year's show would be the best birthday present ever!! (My birthday is the 20th 😁)
I love the camaraderie between the contestants, as it's pretty representative of the sewing.
ReplyDeleteThe GBSB got me to into sewing my own clothes, I was never brave enough to try it before watching! I love seeing the contestants grow as the series progresses, and get some inspo for new projects for myself! It's easily one of the best programmes, I've really missed it!
ReplyDeleteI love that the sewing Bee has inspired a whole lot of new sewers and it brings generations together with a mutual interest and from it has come many social groups and a whole new sewing world
ReplyDeleteI love the last challenge of each week where they get to make a certain item in their chosen style. Whenever I watch this bit I always imagine what I would make. And of course you can't beat a bit of Patrick Grant eye candy! :)
ReplyDeleteLove GBSB as it inspired me to start sewing. I'm still in awe of the contestants working under so much pressure. Hope it returns.
ReplyDeleteI have wanted to learn to sew since I was a little girl but it was the GBSB that finally convinced me to give it a go. I am very much a beginner, and I get very little sewing machine time owning to having two toddlers but now I have found the Instagram sewing community giving me a line to bunch of wonderful, inspiring, creative, lovely people outside of my four walls. I have been saved from drowning in Peppa Pig and have a creative outlet on my much needed 'me time' and I genuinely owe it all to the GBSB. Elly.xxx
ReplyDeleteI love seeing people with different sewing skills all come together and be creative. It's so inspiring to see different fabrics, styles, techniques and patterns become real garments that are wearable.
ReplyDeleteWow. This seems a perfect giveaway and I hope that I will be able to avail it soon. Thanks for sharing update about it.
ReplyDeleteApart from Patrick xx I love the GBSB as it inspired me to make my own clothes, something I never thought I could, and as a result I have learnt so much about my body and style xx
ReplyDeleteGBSB got me into sewing clothes! I'd previously done bits and bobs if sewing but GBSB inspired me to tackle garments!
ReplyDeleteI love the way the contestants grow in skill and confidence as the challenges are thrown at them. If ever the show came back I would love to have the confidence to be a participant!

I love the GBSB as it has made sewing cool again, encouraging many new people to have a go at sewing their own wardrobe. From the simple tops to the more complicated projects I found the show gripping from start to finish and even watched some episodes back for a second time when trying to make similar projects from the programmes accompanying books. It inspired me to get stuck in and not worry if projects may not work out the first time. I'd recommend it to any fellow crafters 😀
ReplyDeleteThe show is so inspiring. I love the inventiveness and personal style of the contestants.
ReplyDeleteGBSB brings my - and many others - favourite hobby to the small screen with knowledgeable judges, enthusiastic contestants and Claudia Winkleman. If none of your close friends share your passion for sewing, it's such an absolute delight to watch. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteEverything really but my favourite round was always the last round as that showcased the contestants showing skills. Loved seeing the choice of fabrics too. Can't wait for the event and free tickets would be great. By the way I've watched each episode at least 5 times!
ReplyDeleteRefashioning is my favourite bit, but to be honest I love it all. Thanks for the competition. Fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteThere is something beautiful seeing the way the contestants' skill and confidence grows week by week.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing what they come up with for the refashion challenges. There were some seriously bonkers and inspired makes there! And it's just lovely to see sewing on the telly. There needs to be more of it!
ReplyDeleteI love watching the creativity of the contestants when they need to upcycle - I'd be like a rabbit in the headlights, not a clue! I love seeing what they come up with.
ReplyDeleteI love learning all about the contestants and what brought them to sewing. Great giveaway, I'd love to go!
ReplyDeleteI don't watch TV but when I heard that there was going to be a sewing program on I made the effort. I love that the GBSB made my decidedly "old lady" hobby popular and helped to rekindle a bit of a renaissance for sewing in the UK. Xx
ReplyDeleteYah tickets to the GBSB Live show -how fab! Watching the show has for me revived my passion for sewing, I was originally taught by my mother as a child and had sewed for years but for one reason or another had stopped. The show reminded me what a special and wonderful gift it was that my mother had passed onto me. I also love how the show brings people together from all walks of life and even right down to the final they all support and encourage each other.
ReplyDeleteGBSB has put me in touch with like minded community who are creating a support network for an often isolated hobby. It encourages creativity and an outlet to show how sewing keeps your mind focussed away from everyday struggles of life. Creates memories through the projects we create and maps our progression through sometimes difficult situations. Recognition for our achievements goes a long way to healing.😊
