**So sorry, but I accidentally just deleted two comments instead of publishing them! Please do have a look below and if your comment is missing just drop me another! The lesson here is not to blog and watch TV at the same time...sorry!**
Following on from yesterday's post, three lucky readers are now in with a chance of winning one of three stunning sewing patterns...call it my Christmas gift to you ;o)
As always, the rules are simple. This giveaway is open to anyone in the world - just leave me a comment saying which pattern you'd most like to win, by midnight (GMT) on Sunday 23 December. Please don't forget to include your email address if it's not already featured on your blog / you don't have a blog. And just because I want to fancy myself as a bit of a Santa, I'll announce the winners on Christmas Day!!! Of course I'm aware that you might be otherwise engaged on that day and not obsessively reading blogs like me, but if you include your email address in your comment there won't be a problem.
So, what's up for grabs?!?
So, what's up for grabs?!?
This sweet 1940s pattern in a Size 16 - Bust 34, Waist 28, Hip 37. I adore the white version and I imagine the bodice in a very delicate broderie anglaise.
This sexy 1957 wiggle dress, which is oh so very Mad Men! In a Size 18 - Bust 38, Waist 30, Hip 40. I love the neckline detail and it looks like the bodice has flattering princess seams.
This chic 1960s pattern with really unique bodice details - Bust 36, Waist 28, Hip 38. It's an unprinted pattern and the pieces haven't been treated with much love, but it's totally usable and the tears can easily be mended with some cellotape.
Sooooo, which is your favourite?
Oh Marie you're so lovely! You're really spoiling us :) personally I'm in love with both your 40s and 50s dresses, they are ridiculously pretty, but if I have to pick a favourite it would have to be the 1940s Simplicity dress, I could see myself making both variations! Thanks for the fabulous giveaway :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow, all three of those are incredibly pretty! If forced to decide, I think I may love #2 best, the neckline detail has such a unique look and I'm imagining buttons on the back of the grey version - very elegant!
ReplyDeleteLove the 40s pattern! Thanks for the opportunity to win it.
ReplyDeleteOh they're all lovely, but i think it'll have to be the 1950s wiggle dress - I adore that neckline!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, what amazing patterns. They are all beautiful but I have a bit of a thing about Maudella patterns, am fascinated by the history of the company, and the dress is stunning so it would be number 3 for me :)
ReplyDeleteThat's so sweet of you! You didn't say if this was open to those of us outside the UK, but if so I really like S4665. kbroadd1 -at- gmail -dot- com
ReplyDeleteSuper patterns Marie! I would love to be entered for the 40s dress, mainly due to sizing. I love them all, but know I wouldn't grade in my real world!!
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway!! Hard to pick one but I'd go for the Maudella cocktail dress. Thanks!! shanniloves@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea Marie! I'd love to put my name in the hat for the 1940's pattern please. x
ReplyDeletethat 40s pattern is lovely!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous patterns! I'd love any of them, but especially the 1940's one - I adore styles from that era, and this dress is so pretty! (It's also in my size, which makes it practically perfect, in my opinion. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for putting on such a lovely Christmas giveaway!
The 1957 wiggle dress is perfect!!!
ReplyDeleteLOOVE the 1957 wiggle dress, it is only 2 years older than me ;0)

ReplyDeleteWhat a generous thing for you to do! Passing on a little Christmas cheer- I love it! It's a toss up for me between the 50's and 60's dresses. I think if pressed, I would choose the latter. Thanks for the chance, and Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI love all 3 but do you know what? I thought I'd be most drawn to the 40s or 50s ones as I adore the styles fit those eras but I actually think I'd go for the maudella pattern from the 60s. Who'd have thought? I surprise myself sometimes!
ReplyDeleteThough choice! Either the 50s or the 60s dress are so cute, both with fantastic details ... hmmm ... I think I'd go for the Maudella in the end, I love those little tabs!

ReplyDeleteI think the '57 wiggle dress would be the most flattering on me.... (I'd go with the '60s one, but I don't think my body type would appreciate it :( ) nkbduckie(at)gmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteGorgeous patterns, I love them all, but my vote would have to be the shirt dress - I can't go past a gorgeous shirt dress and it is the one I would get the most wear out of. Thanks for the generous giveaway!
