The weather has continued to be mostly bleak this week with the exception of some slightly brighter intervals. So you can take it as a given that I wore cardigans and a coat on all days, but I posed without them most days so you could actually see my me-makes! Oh and I upped the ante by doing for days instead of three...building up to a full house for 2013!!!
Me-made - Burda Sleeveless Blouse
Skirt - ASOS
Shoes - River Island
I heart this outfit if I do say so myself! I usually pair this skirt with a black top, so I'm really pleased that I now have something brighter for it. And I'm over the moon that my Burda blouse looks good tucked in...not a total waste of time then!
Wednesday 9 May
Me-made - Basic Renfrew
Dress - Topshop
Shoes - Office
Not only do Renfrews look great with jeans, they are perfect for layering...and I do so love a bit of layering. I honsetly don't know what's going on with my weird flamingo pose though!?!
Friday 11 May
Me-made - My first Sorbetto
Jeans - Topshop
Cardi & Shoes - Primark
I love Sorbetto! That is all.
Saturday 12 May
Saturday 12 May
Me-made - Scout Woven Tee
Jeans - ASOS
Belt - Primark
Belt - Primark
Shoes - Office
This top may well end up being the Sorbetto of 2012 for me - I love it both lose and cinched in, it's a real winner! It even looks good with frizzy hair...not ;o)
Great selection of outfits - my me-mades are all a bit the same. It's good to get some inspiration from other people - I really must make a Sorbetto. Thanks for the sizing advice.
ReplyDelete(I like your balcony pictures by the way)
Thank you so much, I'm also very inspired by other people's outfits! The balcony is the only place with natural light that will work for my pictures, so I'm lucky to have one I guess!
DeleteLovely outfits Marie! Well done for getting up to 4 days too.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteOh I am so glad I found your blog, I love it! Of course, I am going to get nothing done today but nevermind.
ReplyDeleteI love the Burda blouse and skirt combo, looks ace.
Welcome to my blog, thanks for following and for your kind comments!
DeleteWonderful outfits! The Burda Sleeveless Blouse looks great tucked in. That whole outfit is so cute! The Scout Woven Tee is lovely. The floral knit you used is beautiful, and the fabric and the fit are perfect. Also, I love the green shoes in the last picture. Adorable!
ReplyDeleteThanks Becca, you're too kind!
DeleteI'm going to have to try the Scout Woven Tee pattern - it looks awesome! Love the fabric you've chosen for it too.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the sleeveless Burda blouse is really flattering on you. It's also on my "to sew" list ! :) I'm really enjoying your Me Made May, lots of inspiration.
Thanks Sarah, you're too kind! I reckon the Scout Woven Tee and the Burda Sleeveless Blouse will really suit you very well!
DeleteLove the scout woven t. I've downloaded the loony pocket t. Looking good, girlfriend!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous outfits, love that first one too! You look great :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Suzy, but I do love the photography element you've incorporated into your MMM!
DeleteLove love love! You are so cute, Marie! Your outfits are all adorable!
ReplyDeleteHaha, thanks so much!
DeleteYou look great in your handmade clothing. I love the cat eyeliner you have been doing, it looks really good Marie! Awesome job!
ReplyDeleteThank you Gina! Funnily enough I've been doing the cat eyeliner since I was about 19, so I'm desperate for a new look!
DeleteYou look so gorgeous in all of these photos, especially in the Burdastyle Blouse! It's actually taking my attention from your incredible (and they really are incredible) garments. Bellissimo! x
ReplyDeleteThank you Reana Louise, you smooth talker you!
DeleteYou're really pretty :) My fav outfit is Friday 11th of May :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Johanna!
Deleteyou look great in all the outfits! i love how you have a wide variation - from skirt, pants and dresses. my MMM has been all dress, dress and dress and i dont have anything that's handmade and practical, for like going to a park with my kid or something. thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your thoughtful comment! I have a variation because I was addicted to shopping before I starter sewing, but in truth my me-made wardrobe has many gaps I need to address ;o)
DeleteLove your style marie, and your use of colour. All these outfits give the impression of spring, a great example of the power of the wardrobe!
ReplyDeleteHehe, thanks Winnie! Sometimes I wish I did nudes / pastels / plain colours welll...but I think mostly I'm drawn to loud and sometimes tacky prints! Ooops!
DeleteLove all of these! All your outfits look so comfortable but still dressy enough to get away with wearing to work :D
ReplyDeleteThansk Lauren, I totally love seeing your weekly outfit posts!
DeleteI'm repeating myself, but I love your style. And you're making me curious about the Scout pattern...
ReplyDeleteThanks so much and right back at ya ;o) You should try the Scout Woven Tee, I don't think anyone can go wrong with it!
DeleteCute outfits! I really like your flowery woven tee, and I love those green shoes!
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Alessa!
DeleteSuch cute outfits Marie!
ReplyDeleteThank you Suzie!
DeleteI've also done the scout woven tee just this week! How bizarro - did you also see it on True Bias as that's where I got my inspiration :)
ReplyDeleteNope, but it must just mean that great minds think alike ;o)
DeleteI love your scout blouse paired with that belt! The mint color picks up the floral print so well!
ReplyDeleteThanks Meg! That belt was dirt cheap (£1 to be precise), but soooo cute!
DeleteYou look so adorable in all these outfits! But I must say that your Scout tee is just perfection! I love that print and the mint green belt makes it look so springy!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, thanks very much! What a compliment coming from you, I'm a huge fan of your blog and style!
DeleteHello Marie,
ReplyDeleteI'm using your comments section again, forgive me. I'm at home and don't have your email address.
I've been working on my "schools catalogue" over the last week or so. Each year I send around 6000 copies to schools & colleges across the country.
One of my "new" product ranges is from the Colourcraft company. They make fabric paints etc.
Anyway, I'd like to find someone who enjoys producing textiles art and uses fabric paints and batiks etc. I'd supply them with selection of free products for them to use and blog about. It would help them, it would help me and it would help others.
So, if you know of anyone so inclined, please let me know.
Regards
Alan Bamber
